What an office cleanout usually looks like here

Most calls come from a suite in a low-rise office park or a floor above a storefront, with a lease ending and a building manager who wants it empty by a date. Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR both have plenty of these. The pile is much the same from one suite to the next: 8 to 20 workstations with the panels still bolted together, a run of lateral filing cabinets, a conference table that never fit the elevator, a breakroom fridge, and a closet of monitors, printers and cables nobody has touched in years.

The building sets the terms as much as the pile does: freight elevator after 6pm, a loading dock booked by the hour, a security desk that wants a name. Tell us the rules when you book.

What it costs

Office junk removal is priced by the truck. A minimum pickup of 2 cubic yards is $99 online or $119 by phone, a quarter truck is $189 or $209, a half truck is $369 or $389, three quarters is $549 or $569, and a full 16 cubic yard truck is $739 or $759.

You pick a size when you book. On site we walk the suite, confirm the tier against what is there, and agree the price before the first desk moves. Cubicle panels push a job up a tier: they do not nest, so 10 cubicles fill a truck faster than 10 desks. Monitors and printers ride inside the truck price up to the recycler’s free limits, 7 per trip in Oregon; past that we tell you before loading. The full ladder is on the pricing page.

How the visit goes

We bring dollies, a driver set for unbolting panels and taking desks down to tops and legs, and blankets for the elevator.

Before we arrive, sort out access: loading dock, freight elevator, door codes, and whoever signs us in. Tag anything that stays with painter’s tape. Pull hard drives and anything else with data on it.

You do not need to carry, disassemble or stack anything, or stay once we are through the door. We break the cubicles down, run the desks and filing cabinets to the truck piece by piece, and leave the floor clear.

Where it goes

Usable desks, chairs and shelving go to donation first, then steel from cubicle frames and filing cabinets to recycling. Monitors, printers and computers go to a certified recycler, the same path as our TV and electronics recycling. What is left goes to the county transfer station, and that fee is inside your price.

TVs and monitors drop there at no charge under WA E-Cycle.

The price is the same on both sides of the river; only the station changes.

How this differs from commercial and property management jobs

An office cleanout is one suite, once, against a lease date, with e-waste pickup and cubicle hardware in the mix. Commercial junk removal is the ongoing side: shop backrooms, jobsite debris and recurring accounts on a schedule. Property management junk removal is residential units, turnovers and evictions, invoiced to the management company.

Before you book

Do we need to take the cubicles apart first? No. We unbolt the panels and break the desks down on site. Leave them standing.

Is there a charge for the elevator? Yes, $25 per job. Book the freight elevator for our window so the load is not waiting on it.

Can you sort what still works for donation? Yes. Point out what is in good shape before we load and it goes to donation first.

What we take

  • Desks, chairs, cubicle panels
  • Filing cabinets and shelving
  • Monitors, printers, e-waste (up to 7 per trip free in Oregon)
  • Breakroom appliances

Something else in the pile? See everything we take.

What we do not

  • Hard drives you need destroyed; we can refer a certified shredder
  • Hazardous lab or medical waste
